With the deployment of a new technology platform for the intranet comes the daunting task of migrating content from the old site.

We live in interesting times.

For many intranet teams, their intranet progresses forward on the basis of incremental improvement, as it should. Others are facing that inevitable, from-the-ground-up redesign.

Enterprise mobility is quickly moving from pilots and proof-of-concepts to delivering key business functionality for staff when they’re away from their desks.

Last year after running one of my full-day enterprise mobility workshops, I received an email from an organisation about mobile design.

I have an uncle who is now a semi-retired “postie” (Australian slang for the people who deliver the mail). He loves his job, and he’s been a postie for a very long time.

SharePoint straight ‘out of the box’ isn’t necessarily unpleasant to look at – it’s blue and has neat boxes – but it’s not ideal.
